This course builds on basic knowledge of bone augmentation and sinus elevation. It is intended for implantologists who want to know how to gain vertical bone structure for a proper implant placement in different situations.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- know different bone building techniques
- use piezo devices for bone block harvesting
- know the lateral and palatal sinus elevation approach
- apply the Munich Implant Concept (MIC)
- be familiar with the latest CAD/CAM technology
Theory: Classroom lecture
Learn the theoretical part of bone augmentation by following the lecture of Dr. Beuer and Professor Beuer on the different bone harvesting and augmentation techniques.
Hands-on workshop: Sheep heads and pig-jaw exercises
In this module, you are able to transfer the learned theory into a practical exercise on sheep heads and pig jaws. Under the supervision of the two speakers, train the lateral sinus elevation approach and compare it with the conventional sinus lift treatment. Learn the advantages of the piezo surgery for bone block harvesting.
Live surgery: Live surgery with HD video and live comment transfer to the lecture room
